Sheer Brilliance

Sheer curtains offer graceful, airy window décor; and with sheers, the options and uses are widely varied. Sheer curtains are translucent and can be plain or come in colors, metallic sheens or patterns. They can also be imprinted, embroidered or threaded with colored threads of differing thicknesses.

Sheers are an excellent window treatment that can be hung in a wide array of manners. The sheer curtain hanging method with which you are probably most familiar is to frame plain white sheers with colored drapes, but you can also alternately them with drapes, alternately pair different types of sheers in two or more colors for contrast, frame your windows with them as you would drapes or loosely wrap sheers around curtain rods as you would wrap a scarf or intersperse them with your draperies in the same manner for added interest.

Some sheerly brilliant options include stark white sheers embroidered or threaded in black and paired with slate gray drapes for an elegant touch; cream colored vintage-styled sheers framed by softly colored drapes custom crafted from luxurious fabric; and adding full length sheer curtains to long windows to catch the eye.

Looks range from clean created by crisp whites, to cool contemporary styles and colors, or rustic natural tones. Sheers can help insulate your home, block lighting, create ambience and add an element of beauty. They also provide an excellent way to easily match furniture and other accessories, elevating interior design to the next level.
