Annapolis is beautiful in the fall – one of the best places to capture the glory of the season, and there are some pretty cool events there that time of year too!
The Annapolis Ghost Walking Tour is a scary-good way to celebrate the season. Add a creamy latte from one of the many award-winning Annapolis coffee shops or stop at the Annapolis Ice Cream Company for “The Best Hot Chocolate in Annapolis” to warm your innards. You can also opt for the adult version and enjoy the Annapolis Haunted Pub Tour where wicked brews are served in some of the best downtown Annapolis historic haunts. Of course, there are traditional Annapolis Historic Site Walking Tours complete with knowledgeable tour guides dressed in Colonial garb.
Annapolis Town Center is also thoroughly dressed for the season and offers a wide array of special events including pumpkin decorating, cooking demonstrations and outstanding happy hour specials at most of the restaurants along your way. There’s a West Annapolis Oktoberfest with tons of hearty German food, beer and music too.
If you’re a sports fan, some USNA football spectating is a must. Plus, the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy are absolutely resplendent in the fall. So if you have never seen where our great country trains our naval officers, it is the perfect time to do so!
So visit Annapolis and take a fall foliage tour, visit a local pumpkin patch, do some apple picking or wander through a corn maze. You won’t be sorry!
