Annapolis is a famous military town, so visitors often enjoy Commission Week, which is a celebratory culmination of United States Naval Academy graduation events; as well as the Military Bowl game in late December.
Since 2017, the Annapolis Arts Week has been a June event showcasing the talented arts community in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County…with live musical performances, art on display in a multitude of galleries and studios, block parties and more!
July 4th in Annapolis bears witness to a festive parade, fireworks over the sea and that only scratches the Annapolis Independence Day surface!
Revelers can enjoy a wide array of food, music and entertainment at the Annapolis Renaissance Fest, which runs August through October.

April is time for the Annapolis Film Festival, with screenings throughout town for over 70 films from 28 countries! It’s also the month for the U.S. Sailboat Show, which is the largest in-water boat show in the world. Then, don’t forget the U.S. Powerboat Show, which has pleased boat enthusiasts for over 40 years! Annapolis is a water town after all!
Another must-see is May Day in Annapolis, which yields baskets of freshly cut flowers on doorsteps throughout town.
